Guangzhou City University of Technology (GCUT) plays an active part in promoting the cooperation with new energy enterprises in line with carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. In this way, it can stay consistent with energy conservation and emission reduction and building a resource-conserving and environment-friendly campus. Moreover, it also helps to promote talent cultivation cooperating with related enterprises as well as the  sustainable development of GCUT. On the afternoon of March 18, Feng Kanghua, secretary of the Party committee and president of Guangzhou Development New Energy Co., Ltd. and other representatives came to GCUT to signed the strategic cooperation project. Du Xiaoming, Secretary of CPC Guangzhou City University of Technology Committee, Shang Qichao, vice president of GCUT and chiefs of related departments and divisions attended the signing ceremony. Yao Qizhu, chief of the Department of Logistics presided over the ceremony.

Feng Kanghua introduced current conditions, development prospect and cooperative willingness of Guangzhou Development New Energy Company Incorporated. He expressed that GCUT focused on the development of regional industry and the construction of “new engineering” based on the school running and development characteristics, thus actively promoting the integration of discipline chain, specialty chain and industrial chain, which is consistent with the enterprise’s business growth and talent demands. Therefore, he hoped to deepen cooperation with GCUT. Meanwhile, he shared his view on cultivating talents with GCUT drawing on the advantages of the enterprise to jointly building improving matching rate for skilled personnel training and enterprise demands, carrying out professional training for staffs by education resources of GCUT, and jointly building green and low-carbon campus.

Du Xiaoming extended warm greeting and sincere appreciation to the leadership of the enterprise on behalf of GCUT. He claimed that cooperation with Guangzhou Development New Energy Co., Ltd. would boost the development of the university. He introduced situation including GCUT’s talent cultivation as well as the university’s focusing on serving national economic strategies, economic and social development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the characteristics of talent cultivation. He pointed out that cooperation with enterprises and integration between industry and university serve as development goals of GCUT. Therefore, he agreed with Kang’s thought on cooperation and hoped to provide a broad, dynamic and advanced platform for study, research and innovation through in-depth cooperation drawing on mutual advantages. In this way, both sides can achieve win-win results through complementary advantages and resources sharing. He wished a complete success of the cooperation.

 Finally, Du Xiaoming and Feng Kanghua signed the strategic cooperation agreement. Such agreement helps to harness strengths of both sides while realizing the goal of joint contribution and shared benefits and mutual benefits based on equal cooperation.
